Barley coffee

The barley Barley is an ancient plant believed to come from pre-historic times. A variety of it was found even in egyptian tombs. Barley was also mentioned by Moses and Hyppocrates would prescribe it to treat severe illnesses.

Directions: put some barley powder in your home percolator or, alternatively, fill halfway the filter of your home expresso machine.

You can also put a teaspoon of powder in 1 cup of boiling water, boil for 3 minutes, filter and drink.

The unique aroma of this barley derives not only from the biodynamic farming but also from the roasting process, made in one of the most ancient Italian factories, founded in Tuscany in 1831. The firm has kept the traditional roasting process since then using two different kinds of firewood to enhance the barley flavour.
